In recent years, electric vehicles (EVs) have gained significant momentum in the automotive industry, and the SAIC Maxus MIFA 9 is a testament to the growing popularity and advancement of this eco-friendly technology.

SAIC Maxus as of late has been targeting some of the niche markets which have yet to see true competition in electric vehicles. In the case of the MIFA 9, it has targeted the large commercial vehicle to passenger vehicle market!

Designed with business customers and also families in mind, the Maxus MIFA 9 combines spaciousness, comfort, and zero-emission driving to offer a comfortable and relaxing experience.

One of the standout features of the Maxus MIFA 9 is its spacious interior. The MPV can comfortably accommodate up to 7 passengers across three rows of seating, making it ideal for larger families or groups. My favourite part of the MIFA 9 was definitely the massaging reclining airplane-style seats, which really showcase a true luxury experience!

Check out these seats on the MIFA 9. Truly business class!

As an electric MPV, the Maxus MIFA 9 prioritizes environmental sustainability without compromising performance. The vehicle has a powerful 180kW electric motor and 90kWh battery that provides a potentially impressive 250 miles driving range (WLTP). Although I haven’t had the chance to drive the MIFA 9 yet, it seems as if we are expecting somewhere around this range to be about right. Charging the MIFA 9 is hassle-free, thanks to its compatibility with various charging options. This includes CCS and Type 2 AC charging. Whether you have access to a public charging station or prefer to install a Type 2 AC home charger, the MIFA 9 offers flexibility to suit your needs.

With the ever-expanding electric charging infrastructure, recharging your MPV is becoming increasingly convenient and accessible.

The MIFA 9 offers a comprehensive suite of safety measures to protect passengers and provide peace of mind. Features such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking contribute to a safer driving experience.

Moreover, the Maxus MIFA 9 has many intelligent and intuitive technologies. An advanced infotainment system with a user-friendly interface keeps passengers entertained and connected throughout their journey. The MPV also includes convenient features like keyless entry, wireless charging, and multiple USB ports and mains sockets to ensure a seamless and enjoyable travel experience.

Nice interior. Somewhat more business class than first class, but definitely fit for a regular driver!

The Maxus MIFA 9 Electric MPV is a newcomer in a niche sector of both executive travel and also definitely could fit into the market as a large family vehicle. The alternatives such as the Mercedes EQV are significantly more expensive, although the available battery capacity is slightly more (100kWh vs 90kWh in the case of the MIFA 9).

Interestingly, the WLTP range on the MIFA 9 is greater than the EQV, even though it has a larger total and available capacity than the MIFA 9 (226 miles on the EQV vs 267 WLTP combined on the MIFA 9). For niches such as executive airport transfers it could be quite enough to complete a trip without a charge for example.

Its spacious interior, impressive range, and eco-friendly credentials offer an exceptional combination of comfort, versatility, and sustainability. If you’re in the market for an electric MPV that checks all the boxes, the Maxus MIFA 9 is undoubtedly worth considering.
